About watermark all pages
Marking every page sounds trivial and is where naive watermarking tools fail. Real documents are not uniform: a report can contain A4 body pages, a landscape appendix, an oversized fold-out plan and a scanned page inserted with a rotation entry of 90 degrees. A tool that computes one placement from the first page and reuses those coordinates everywhere produces marks that fall off the edge of wider pages, sit at the wrong angle on rotated ones, and look tiny on large formats. This tool reads each page's media box and rotation individually and recomputes placement, scale and angle for that page, so a diagonal mark runs corner to corner on every page regardless of its dimensions. Tiled placement recalculates its grid per page too. The page range is fixed to all, which is the point: nothing is skipped, and there is no possibility of a range expression quietly missing the last page of a document.
How to watermark all pages
- 01
Load the full document
Add the complete PDF. Every page will be marked with no exceptions.
- 02
Set the text and placement
Placement is recomputed per page, so a single choice suits mixed layouts.
- 03
Set one opacity for the document
A single value across all pages is what makes the result look intentional rather than patchy.
- 04
Apply and verify
Download and scroll through, paying attention to any landscape or oversized pages.
What this tool does
- Per-page geometry: media box and rotation read individually for every page
- Diagonal marks scale to each page, so oversized and small pages both look right
- Tiled grids recalculated per page rather than reused from the first
- Page coverage locked to all, removing the risk of a mis-typed range skipping pages
- Handles pages with a rotation entry so the mark is not sideways relative to the content
Limitations worth knowing
Every PDF tool has constraints. Stating them plainly is more useful than discovering them halfway through your work.
- Universal coverage is not protection. Every one of those marks can be removed with an editor — this is consistent labelling, nothing more.
- Page range cannot be narrowed here by design; use Watermark Selected PDF Pages when you need specific pages.
- Very long documents take proportionally longer, since each page is measured and drawn individually.
- Non-Latin characters may not render, as the mark uses an embedded standard font.
How your file is handled
This tool runs entirely inside this browser tab. When you choose a file, your browser reads it from your own disk and hands the bytes to JavaScript running on this page — no network request carries your document anywhere. You can confirm that yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, switch to the Network panel, and run the tool. You will see no upload.
Nothing is stored after the fact. Closing or reloading this tab discards the file, the result and everything derived from them, because none of it ever left your machine. Read how local processing works.
Questions about watermark all pages
Will landscape and oversized pages be handled correctly?
Yes, and that is the reason this tool exists. Each page's dimensions and rotation are read separately and placement is recomputed, rather than one set of coordinates being reused from the first page.
Can I exclude the cover page?
Not here — coverage is deliberately fixed to every page. Use Watermark Selected PDF Pages and specify a range starting from page 2.
Does marking every page make the file much larger?
Barely. Each page gains a small text object referencing a shared standard font, so the increase is a few hundred bytes per page rather than anything meaningful.
What happens on pages that are scanned images?
The mark draws on top of the image as it would over any other content. Because the scan is a picture, the watermark is the only real text on the page.
