Privacy, stated precisely
We cannot read your documents, because we never receive them.
This is an architectural fact rather than a policy promise. PDF processing happens in JavaScript and WebAssembly running in your own browser. Your file is read from your disk by your own machine, transformed there, and written back out as a download.
- No file is uploaded to a server for any tool on this site.
- No document text, metadata, password or signature is sent to analytics.
- Nothing is stored — closing the tab discards the file and the result.
- No account, no email address, no watermark on your output.
One honest exception: OCR tools download a recognition engine and language model to your device before running. Those are static files coming to you — your document still never goes anywhere.
How local processing worksFour steps
How it works
Choose a tool
Search by task or browse a category. Each tool loads only the code it needs.
Add your file
Drop it in or use the file picker. It is read locally, not sent anywhere.
Set your options
Page ranges, quality, position — whatever that particular job requires.
Download
Save the result. Close the tab and nothing remains, here or anywhere.

Common questions
Questions, answered plainly
Are my PDF files really not uploaded?
Correct — and you can verify it rather than take our word for it. Open your browser’s developer tools, switch to the Network panel, and run any tool. You will see the page’s own code load, and no request carrying your file. The processing happens in JavaScript and WebAssembly executing inside your tab.
Is it free, and is there a catch?
Every tool is free with no account, no email address and no watermark added to your output. The site is built to carry advertising later as its funding model. There is no paid tier holding back functionality, and no file-size limit imposed to push you toward one.
Why is there a file size limit at all then?
Because your own device does the work. A browser tab has a finite memory budget, and a very large document can exhaust it — so we cap input at a size we can process reliably rather than let the tab crash halfway through. Server-based competitors can accept larger files precisely because they are using their hardware, not yours.
Do the tools work offline?
Document processing happens locally, but opening a tool page does not guarantee offline use. Each tool loads its processing code on demand, and some operations need additional worker or model assets. OCR also needs a recognition engine and the selected language model. If all assets needed for an operation are already loaded, its document processing can continue without the network; a missing asset still requires a connection.
Which browsers are supported?
Any current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, on desktop or mobile. The tools rely on standard, widely supported browser capabilities. Very old browsers will struggle, mainly with the larger WebAssembly-based tools such as OCR.
Can you recover a PDF password I have forgotten?
No. This site does not recover passwords, crack them or try combinations. PDF decryption and password removal are not implemented here, even if you know the password. If you are authorized to open the document, use a PDF application that supports decryption with your known password, or ask the document owner for an accessible copy.
What happens to my file when I close the tab?
Closing the tab discards this site’s in-memory working copy and any result you have not downloaded. It does not delete the original file on your device or copies you already saved. Document contents are not uploaded to our server. If you allow optional analytics, content-free aggregate usage counts can remain under the retention periods described in our privacy policy.
