About duplicate PDF pages
This tool creates a new document by repeating each selected page, placing its copies next to each other. It does not insert copies into the complete source document: unselected pages are left out. At the default copy count of 2, a selection of 1-3 produces 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3 rather than two repeated three-page blocks. Choose a whole-number copy count from 2 to 500 for the total appearances of each selected page. The expanded output cannot exceed 5,000 pages; reduce the selection or copy count if it does. The copied pages share referenced fonts and images within the new document, which usually keeps file growth modest, and their content is not rasterised or re-compressed. Interactive forms need care: page widget annotations may be copied, but the document-level form structure is not transferred, so working fields and their values are not guaranteed. Flatten the form first if preserving its visible values matters.
How to duplicate PDF pages
- 01
Open the document
Drop in the PDF containing the page you want repeated.
- 02
Select what to repeat
Name a page or range. Copies of each selected page are adjacent; a range is not repeated as a whole block, and unselected pages are omitted.
- 03
Set the total copy count
Choose 2 to 500 total appearances per selected page. The default is 2; keep the expanded output within 5,000 pages.
- 04
Build and save
Press the action button and download the new PDF containing only the repeated selection.
What this tool does
- Repeat a single page or each page in a selected range 2 to 500 times, within the output-page budget
- Duplicates share embedded fonts and images, so file growth is modest
- Copies of each selected page are adjacent in a new document; unselected pages are omitted
- Lossless page-content copying — pages are copied as objects, not re-rendered
Limitations worth knowing
Every PDF tool has constraints. Stating them plainly is more useful than discovering them halfway through your work.
- Page widget annotations may be copied, but the document-level form structure is not transferred. Do not rely on working fields or preserved values; flatten the form first if its visible values matter.
- Document-level bookmarks are not copied, and internal links are not retargeted to the new page sequence.
- The copy count must be a whole number from 2 to 500, and the expanded output cannot exceed 5,000 pages. Large selections or copy counts can still use substantial browser memory.
How your file is handled
This tool runs entirely inside this browser tab. When you choose a file, your browser reads it from your own disk and hands the bytes to JavaScript running on this page — no network request carries your document anywhere. You can confirm that yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, switch to the Network panel, and run the tool. You will see no upload.
Nothing is stored after the fact. Closing or reloading this tab discards the file, the result and everything derived from them, because none of it ever left your machine. Read how local processing works.
Questions about duplicate PDF pages
Will duplicated form fields keep working independently?
Do not rely on that. Page widget annotations may be copied, but the document-level form structure is not transferred, so working fields and their values are not guaranteed. Flatten the form before duplicating if you need static copies of the visible values.
Does duplicating a page double the file size?
Usually not. The copied pages share referenced fonts and image streams within the new PDF, rather than embedding a separate copy of those resources for each appearance. New page objects still add some overhead, and the final size depends on the selected content.
Where are the copies placed?
Each selected page appears consecutively the requested number of times in a new PDF containing only the selection. At the default count of 2, selecting page 2 from a three-page document produces 2, 2, not 1, 2, 2, 3; selecting 1-3 produces 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3. A count of 3 instead gives three adjacent appearances of each selected page. Use Move PDF Pages if you want to rearrange the output.
